A poetic, room-scale VR performance where motion-captured dancers guide visitors through a reactive, reimagined Chinese Garden, with visuals and sound that respond to user presence.
Flux Garden is a room-scale VR installation that reimagines Singapore’s former Chinese Garden as a living, reactive dreamscape. Built for the HTC Vive Pro in Unreal Engine 4, it invites visitors into a shifting world guided by motion-captured spectral dancers.
Development focused on performance optimization and real-time effects integration, building efficient Niagara systems that layered over volumetric meshes and designing adaptive audio zones that shaped a seamless, spatial journey.
Achieving a consistent 90fps across complex particle and volumetric effects was a key technical milestone, enabling the fluid sense of presence.
