Award-winning sci-fi short

2019

As the VFX Supervisor and Lead Compositor for this sci-fi short, the role involved overseeing the entire visual effects pipeline—from on-set supervision to final compositing.

Responsibilities included on-site data capture, scene setup, tracking, world-building, lighting, and rendering, ensuring seamless integration between CG and live-action footage.

Post-production was carried out primarily in Nuke, which involved handling compositing and developing custom Python tools to standardize workflows and improve efficiency across the team. Automation of render farm processes further streamlined the production pipeline, enabling higher-quality results within tight indie constraints.

The final film combines grounded, realistic action with sophisticated visual effects and world-building, earning a Special Mention at the National Youth Film Awards.
